Megami "Isekai Tensei Nani ni Naritai desu ka" Ore "Yuusha no Rokkotsu de"

This is the best anime this season. I'll die on that hill (and god knows there were some bangers this season).

From its absolute bizarre nature to the different art styles that have no business being this good with a nice plot just to add the cherry on the top, I have loved every single episode of this show.
If this is a passion project (and it does seem the studio had a lot of fun doing this) all anime should be passion projects and pieces of art.

I can understand why some people would have trouble with it, but for those who like me, I crave this ... little bit of unserious escapism from reality: this hits all the spots

This anime is incredibly conflicting. If you are looking for something wacky and don't care if the art style changes all the time, you can probably enjoy this. The humor is rather hit or miss. There are lots of anime tropes but also (what I believe are) a lot of Japanese culture specific gags that will pass by a lot of viewers.

This anime was like watching a 30 car pile up where, miraculously, the cars are wrecked but no one was overly hurt.

Overall: 6, I am conflicted about this rating. I didn't get a lot of the jokes/humor/gags and was put of by ... a lot of the art/styles used throughout. But, I couldn't stop watching and by the end I found that I had enjoyed watching.

Characters: 7, I enjoyed the characters for the most part and they fulfilled their roles

Story: 6, While the overall story was enjoyable and the main reason I watched till the end, the bits/gags of each episode varied wildly.

Art/style: 2, I am not a fan of constantly changing style. This show is all over the place. Animation, motion comics, real life actors, paper motion story books, and more. While unique and creative, not my cup of tea. Some of the "art" is ugly/disturbing.

"Comedy": 2, there are bits/gags throughout each episode with many episodes having 2. Most of these either went over my head or weren't funny. Some were annoying. Best case scenario, I was not the target audience; worst, the writer(s) weren't/aren't funny.

Story
There is no overarching plot or meaningful goal driving the narrative. The main character is essentially a loser, and the anime just meanders through the story of his increasingly random and bizarre reincarnations. Even for a comedy, they could have crafted a proper story or a cohesive structure, but from what I’ve watched, it feels like this show was targeted at a ten-year-old audience. It’s no wonder they didn’t bother to build any substance; there’s just nothing here to get invested in.

Visuals
Because the show has no real story or defined style, the creators weren't shackled by the usual tropes or expectations of a specific genre. ... They didn't feel the need to follow typical animation rules or art styles, and in this one specific area, I think it actually did a good job. Visually speaking, it is a decent, quirky watch that manages to be more creative than the narrative supporting it.

Conclusion
Is it worth watching? Let’s be honest: this anime is a waste of time. Yes, the visuals are ok and the experimental art style is interesting, but there is absolutely no substance backing them up. Maybe it’s a passable thing to put on if you need something to zone out to before going to sleep, but otherwise, it is just a bad show.
