Somehow the further I get into the show the less I understand what I’m watching. Love Re-l and vibe the show has, but I have no clue what is happening. Or I might just be stupid

I know it's extremely late, but you absolutely have to read this

It explains absolutely everything. After reading, rewatch and you'll have a completely different experience!

To be fair, they only said raison d'être a total of 11 times - under half a raison per episode. That's not too bad.

Thanks a bunch for recommending us these articles!! They're absolutely illuminating! :D I planned on watching this series again to better understand it, but after reading this, it'll be much easier to follow the story. This anime is a masterpiece, but it doesn't develop as we're used to.

Thanks a lot for the link, very concise and useful summaries. I decided to fully spoil myself by reading both Story Part 1 and 2 of part 1 and the episode guides (before the episode). Not precisely the experience the creators inteneded, but it saves me from rewatching. It's a compromise to only read Part 1 of the story summary, because it only gives the backstory but not the events taking place in the timeline of the anime itself.

Thanks for the link. It was very helpful.
For me Ergo Proxy was 7/10, because external source was needed for complete explanation(atleast for me). Though it deserves 8 or 9
It is shocking to find how many people do not believe they can learn, and how many more believe learning to be difficult.
