| Hopefully as sentai filmworks seem to have picked up a western licence for this we won't have to wait for the BD release to get to see this. I'm not familiar with how it works though. |

| the bluray goes on sale june 21. its region free and has english subtitles. its also only around 40 dollars. no need to wait for long OT theres now a crater below where my jaw was after seeing that animation. for a simple analogy my jaw=bass animation=skrillex |

| Whoa, those visuals... I can't wait to see this. As much as I liked Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo, I'm really glad that Makoto Shinkai is back with a more subtle, realistic film. This looks absolutely lovely. |
| That is the beautiful Shinjuku Gyoen that so impressed me that I could easily recognize the scenery outside it as the MC was walking towards its (back) entrance. And the tanka that the woman spoke is also a beautiful one taken from Chapter 11 of classic Manyoushuu: 鳴る神の 少し響みて さし曇り 雨も降らぬか 君を留めむ Interestingly it is a song about a girl wishing her guy could be stopped from leaving by the weather, but here it is the girl who is leaving and that is despite the weather (of course they don't have much connection at this point either). Great stuff. |
| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |
