| So much chatter this episode, at least in the first half. Still, we did get Jirou vs that Mononoke. That monster wasn't a pushover at all. On another note, this episode shows that Ichika can be resourceful when it comes to fighting. I'm kinda impressed but we got another clfifhanger... |

| The mononoke intention is clear now, they are fallen 'gods" trying to reclaim their "divinity" by devouring the descended of their former worshipers. Things are finally getting more interesting.  Unexpected new form with a very grave implications, the life saving exchanges between Jiro and Rago are very chaotic indeed |
Ichika hitting the Sailor Moon pose before styling on the flag dude was downright disrespectful, but I guess he had it coming for forcing her to play dressup. It's odd how neither Jiro nor Rago knows where their powerup came from, as cool as it looks. |
| 5/5 episode. Loved it, mainly cuz of Jiro offing Kanawa, in addition to Ichika defeating Roren. Although, I wonder why Reiji's fight wasn't included in this episode, especially since Black Torch, which focuses on the main characters Jiro & Ichika, ended their fights in this episode. Why is Reiji the only one left to fight alone in the upcoming episode? Is it because his fight is more dramatic and emotional than Jiro and Ichika's fights? Instead of battling a Mononoke like Jiro and Ichika, he's fighting his own big brother? No idea, but oh well. I wonder whether he'll beat him solo, get Jiro and Ichika's help, or get obliterated by his big brother, who'll take pity on him and leave him alive to watch him grow, kind of like what Itachi did to Sasuke way back when he choked him to the wall of the establishment they were in. |

| Ngl that blonde gas mask Mononoke is my hero for putting Ichika in a school uniform mid-fight lol, then he found himself between her legs as she ended his career by taking off his horn, it might’ve been at a great cost but worth it imo lol. Ichika’s fight aside, Black Torch has found themselves in a new operation in this one with a whole section of the city engulfed in fog and several strong Mononoke within it, the situation looked rough at first (RIP to those folks that already got eaten) but Jiro and Ichika already won their 1v1s in this episode, and in Jiro’s case it was with the help of a new form thanks to Rago, although the implications of Rago feeding off of Jiro’s vital energy aren’t good. And going back to the muscle-y Mononoke, his story of when he was revered as a god showed another angle to the Mononoke cause, being that they want to go back to being worshiped by humans. On one hand, I kinda feel bad for the guy, the offerings were apparently in exchange for protection after all, but on the other hand, that’s a way of life that keeps humans beneath Mononoke as opposed to proper coexistence, so it couldn’t go on. And it ended on Reiji starting his fight, Naruko doesn’t seem like a huge threat since she’s pretty aloof (also cute lol) but Reiji’s brother might be a big problem, guess we’ll find out. |
| In the mother, although what the cat protagonist says isn't entirely accurate, I don't rule it out either. Even so, I feel it's something deeper, and I love the scenes with the redhead waifu; they make her look so exquisite, hahaha. Oh yeah, a monster calling the protagonist a monster? Go to hell, jerk! That's all I needed, hahaha. The question is, who did he say that to? There were two of them, hahaha xd |

| The fights ended so quick which is expected. The fight that I thought that I would like the least.. Reiji's could turn out to be the best 'cause it's against his brother. So Jiro could die since Rago is constantly draining his vital energy. Gotta thank that Mononoke for giving his Ichika in sailor fuku. I wish he fought with her for longer we would have got the Nurse, Bunny girl cosplays LOL |

| Pretty good episode in my opinion with the right balance or worldbuidling, talking and action. Didn't expect the loli mononoke to stick around but don't hate it...waiting to see her telepathy powers work. After listening to the mononoke, got a feeling that maybe the old bureau of espionage might have been the bad guys killing off all the neutral mononoke or they have something else in plan which needed most mononoke dead... Either way cool to see Jiro and Ragou fuse and absolutely critically parry that giant mononoke and seeing Ichika beat that creepy mononoke was cool...don't know about the school uniform swap mid-fight though...(°ー°〃) |

| As we get into the next story arc, I feel like the anime is finally picking up the pace, and is becoming more enjoyable to watch. Honestly, sending 3 rookies to that mysterious mist doesn't seem like that good of an idea for me, but OK, they have plot armor by their side, so they'll be fine. Also, why did they decide to split up? Anime do have a problem in making a group of characters fight the antagonist, so it's not exclusive to Black Torch, but splitting up, instead of joining forces to defeat that Mononoke, and then go all together defeat another one and so one doesn't seem to be the brighest idea, but oh well, they got the power of plot armor so they'll be alright. Jiro's fight was actually really well animated, like, wow, I wasn't expecting that. It was quite enjoyable too. We can't say the same for Ichika's fight unfortunately, which was barely animated, with the exception of the fan service parts, because what would be of this fight if Ichika wasn't fighting the Mononoke in a school uniform? Well, destiny made Reiji fight against his own brother, although that fight was saved for next episode, which understandable, considering it's probably the most important fight of the 2. Ichika's fight ended quite quickly, she defeated her Mononoke quite easily, which is a way of redeeming her character from the underwhelming fight she had back in episode 2, where she needed Jiro's help, here she showed why she was sent alone to escort Jiro back then (although I still feel like this was the fight she should have had back in episode 2). Jiro's new fight form was cool, like a cat man. Unfortunately, it seems Rago is becoming quite strong due to absorbing Jiro's vital force, which probably means he's absorbing his life, making his life span shorter. I'm really curious how they are going to resolve this matter. But Rago became really powerful, without that vest, he easily defeated that Mononoke, even without knowing it himself. Now I'm really curious to see how Reiji's fight is going to go, but I suppose it's not going to be as smooth as these 2 fights, and the other 2 will probably come to help him. But this change of pace really benefited the anime, this last couple of episodes have been quite better! |
