So slight spoiler alert if you haven't finished CANAAN (how dare you if that is so!) but I was just wondering what you all thought of the ending of CANAAN. I've heard some people were disappointed and I've heard some loved it.

I was a bit of both. I thought they stuck to the story line and the image of the characters well. They even answered all of my questions! Only problem I had was that Maria and Canaan didn't stick together :p When Canaan said "That one's mine" I was like yes!! Now go after herrrr!!! XD lol

SO what'd you guys think? :)

Haha pretty much the same here... I did wish for something more, especially in the Canaan x Maria department.. like, if Canaan had been standing in the shadows at Maria's exhibition and she'd notice etc. But nooo.

Then on the other hand though, I liked this ending the most out of the other Type-Moon series, it didn't leave me frustrated like Shingetsutan Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night. Oh but! I just lied, cuz now I think the ending of Garden of Sinners was the most fulfilling... :'D

So yep, mixed feelings here.

Basically the same thing Ziggy said. I had mixed feelings about it: I'm happy that the characters matured and were happy, but yeah.. I wanted Canaan and Maria to see each other again.
They left it pretty open with that scene after the ending credits with Canaan on the phone receiving a new mission,so who knows? There might be more Canaan episodes someday =D

Sadly, I doubt there's going to be any continuation to CANAAN, as it's based on a side-story made by TYPE-MOON for a game called 428: Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de. The whole story's already covered in the anime and since TYPE-MOON has not yet done a single anime that isn't based on something of theirs to begin with.... yeah, very unlikely. :/

The ending left me with one question.

What happened to Alphard?

We only see her once in what looks like a station at the end with her hair long.

Ah true, would've been nice to know what she was up to... probably something questionable again though since they sent Canaan after her again haha.

The ending was ok and i was so relived when i saw Alphard at the train station, i didn't want her to die. The only bad part was leaving us with a cliff hanger when Canaan got her new mission to go after Alphard again.

Same here, ChronoKid. I was just so relieved and surprised to see Alphard alive that I was immediately like, ok I'm satisfied, they didn't kill my favorite character so I 'm happy. But the more I think about it, the more I'm really craving more closure to the story (heh like everyone else here probably). Despite being an avid Alphard/Canaan fan, I'd have really liked to see Canaan go after Maria. (threesome ftw? er, cough cough) But at least I know she's going to run into her one-armed nemisis again. I feel like they left it open for a sequel...but I really doubt they're going to continue it.
