Synopsis

Good Loser Kumagawa takes place two months before Kumagawa transfers to Hakoniwa Academy, and details his time at Suisou Academy. This is the story of Kumagawa's one month-long battle with Saki Sukinasaki, a battle that ended with the closure of Suisou Academy and no winner.

Absolutely worth reading if you like Kumagawa Misogi as a character. The story takes place two months before the events of Medaka Box, at Suisou Academy, where Kumagawa has just transferred and become the new student council president. He has a month-long psychological battle against Sukinasaki Saki while participating in an Anshin'in-san game with different phases that force Kumagawa to confront her "terminals."

It's really beautiful how NISIOISIN manages to add so many references and layers of depth to normal dialogues and events in such a natural way.
