Manga 'Ganglion' Gets TV Anime in Fall 2025

Production company Bushiroad opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Hisaya Shiraiwa and Takashi Itsuki's Ganglion manga on Friday, revealing the main cast, staff, and a main visual (pictured). The anime is scheduled to premiere on October 4 at 1:53 a.m. on TV Tokyo, followed by TV Osaka, AT-X, and BS Yoshimoto.

Shiraiwa and Itsuki began serializing the action manga in Comic Yoshimoto in 2007. Wani Books published the manga in a single volume in April 2009.

Synopsis
Early 2000s Tokyo. Isobe, a combatant for the evil corporation Ganglion, spends his days on the battlefield. Whether it's the "Tokyo Cedar Pollen Operation" or the "Mount Fuji Demolition Plan," he faces off in nothing but a bodysuit, only to be crushed by the hero Hopeman time and again. As he struggles under unreasonable bosses during the dawn of compliance, his story unfolds—a workplace drama dedicated to all who work, following the bittersweet life of a salaryman soldier.

But the time slots for the episodes are also stated to be only 5~7 minutes long.

@Yubisoft I dont want to get mad at you because you are an ecchi enjoyer, but whats wrong about some oddity getting an adaptation? I see people always complaing about "generic" light novels and isekai getting adapted, so whats wrong with this one?

@Yubisoft I don't know how popular the original manga was with the Japanese audience, but I can usually explain such things by the fact that the demand for new anime is so high that producers have to turn to old stories as well.

Is this yet another new trend now? Reviving almost 20 years manga that nobody gives a damn anymore? I will ask again this rhetorical question, what the hell happened with the Japanese animation industry these days especially after mid Covid period?
