Not gonna disagree with that eh. It grew on me the third time i gave it a chance, although yes in my opinion it pales in comparison against 5-toubun's appeal. Regarding Ichika, i always thought that having Kana Hanazawa as VA might have prevented me from disliking her too much with her as a character while watching the anime. Couldn't bring myself to dislike the voice of Satou and Shinako :)

Good thing i only read the manga afterwards, lol. She redeemed herself in her own way though, so there's that.

Ah, i get what you mean. In 5-toubun the author only made one linear timeline / universe and keep it until the end. What i had in mind was to compare 5-toubun with Bokuben, since the start and the middle parts are similar in structure, but the difference is that Bokuben offers alternate endings (just the ending, not the whole story per universe like Amagami SS) for all the girls.

I simply mentioned Amagami SS in Bokuben's stead since i've noticed that you haven't read the latter.

Can't really recommend it though, it has similar vibes with 5-toubun but i honestly think that 5-toubun is far more well-made (i enjoyed 5-toubun better). My advice is to wait until you've finished 5-toubun, if you liked it, there's a chance you might like Bokuben to some extent. Or you might not, since in my case i only cared for half of the girls as a character.

Yeah, her blatantness / assertiveness is part of what makes her great. Her VA in the anime made it doubly so. But since i was on the winner girl's side, when she said that line, i was like, "don't talk to her like you know everything, Nino."

Don't worry, even after finishing it, i'm pretty sure that you'll still be on #TeamNino for who she is as a character :)

Considering that you like Amagami SS, have you thought that it's better for 5-toubun to have a harem ending?
(Probably better to ask this one after you've managed to finish the manga though)

I like most of the entries in your current manga's PTR list, i think they're pretty solid.
I would like to recommend 5-toubun no Hanayome's manga, you might or might not like how the author wraps up the story, but personally i like it, in a way that it made me notice how fairly clever the author is by inserting gradual clues throughout the story.
