You really need to give this manga a chance! For those who enjoy stories brimming with cuteness and charm, it's a read that will warm your heart. This manga not only will bring smiles to your face but also leave your heart feeling warm with its captivating scenes and charming characters. The way the characters are developed, with their flaws and strengths well explored, makes the story even more engaging. Even though the plot may feel somewhat familiar in certain aspects, the delicate and expressive artwork perfectly complements the tone of the narrative. There are many kinds of BL mangas out there, but not many can capture your heart like this one does. I read the prequel years ago but the sweetness of these two and the lighthearted moments in this stayed with me. Came back home from a 4-day vacation in the countryside yesterday and I've been feeling an itch to revisit this manga even before coming back to the city. "Restart wa tadaima no ato de" as well as "restart wa onaka wo sukasete" do not contain a love triangle, third act breakup or other unnecessary plot devices so you can expect a slow and steady ... love blossoming and also witness the growth of two characters who are vastly different from eachother at first glance, but more and more similar as they get to know eachother. I liked how they kept things sweet and simple but didn't make it fantasy. There were realistic moments that reflected the way society is and how unwelcome certain rural communities can be about change or new people. Mitsuomi (black cat) and Yamato (golden retriever) learn to overcome their relationship struggles, fight and make up. Overall, it's a solid 9/10 and will be a worthwhile bedtime read.

The story doesn't make sense, and it's hard to understand what's happening since the story goes by too fast. It doesn't explain the reason or stakes well enough. For the whole time reading it, it's hard to understand what the story is about, and the story is easily forgotten after reading it. The characters barely have any personality, and there is no reason for them to even show up in the story. Overall, the story is not recommended to be read if you value your time and money. Who cares about someone coming home since coming home is a totally normal thing? And why would ... anyone fall for a random guy they meet?
