It’s actually really nice to see the cast being happy.

For you to really enjoy it, I think it’s essential to have seen part of the original story; for me, part of the appeal is that these are endearing kids who don’t deserve all the misfortunes of the main series, yet here they get the chance to be normal teenagers.

I don’t usually like comedy (especially in anime) or crack spin offs (which tend to be boring), but this parody has some genuinely funny jokes (not all of them, Japanese comedy is something I’ll never quite warm up to). At the very least, the characters behave consistently ... and somehow realistically, even when the circumstances are absurd.

Para que realmente te guste creo que es indispensable haber visto parte de la historia original, al menos parte de lo que me gustó es que son muchachos entrañables que no merecen todas las desgracias que les pasan en la serie y que aquí tienen la oportunidad de ser adolescentes normales.

Normalmente no me gusta tanto la comedia (especialmente la de anime) ni los spin off crack (suelen ser aburridos), pero esta parodia tiene varios chistes graciosos (no todos, la comedia japonesa nunca me va a terminar de gustar). Por lo menos tienen comportamientos consecuentes y hasta cierto punto realistas aunque las circunstancias sean absurdas.

I loved it.

It’s like two movies in one: the first one is very much like Goodbye, Eri (this guy has a bit of a fixation on women who seem ethereal but turn out to be the kind of people who ruin your life, he really should go to therapy); the second, on the other hand, is a lets punch eachother in the face (I don't know how to translate this phrase from Spanish to English without it losing aura).

There’s nothing bad to say about the audiovisuals: the direction is beautiful, the animation is flawless, and the soundtrack absolutely breaks everything (I’m going to ignore the ... fact that MAPPA is exploitative).

My only complaint? I should’ve gone to the theater to see it. I’ll never forget this thing.

Son como dos películas en una sola: la primera es muy Sayonara, Eri (este hombre tiene una pequeña fijación con mujeres que parecen etéreas pero al final son personas que te cambian la vida para mal, debería hacérselo ver en terapia); la segunda, por otro lado, es un vamos a caernos a coñazo limpio.

No hay nada malo que decir del apartado audiovisual: la dirección es hermosa, la animación es impecable y la banda sonora la rompe por completo (voy a ignorar que son unos explotadores).

¿Mi única queja? Que debí haberla ido al cine. Nunca voy a olvidar esta vaina.

It’s not a very complex story, but it holds up. Its strength lies in that classic, charming children's fantasy vibe. The protagonist, Yoyo, is really likable, she’s adorable, and you genuinely want her to achieve her goal.

Honestly, my rating is because it can get a bit boring when they aren't destroying enemies away with magic and friendship; it’s not for everyone, but if you enjoy children's fantasy movies, it’s a decent way to pass the time.

No es una historia muy compleja, pero se mantiene. Su fuerte es la fantasía infaltil pero bonita. La protagonista, Yoyo, cae muy bien, es bien cuchi ... y realmente quieres que logre su objetivo.

Honestamente, mi nota es porque llega a ser aburrida cuando no estás volando enemigos con magia y amistad, no es para todo el mundo, pero si te gustan las películas infantiles de fantasía está bien para pasar el rato.

I just finished reading "Yumeyume: Onmyouji Kidan" (stories about Abe no Seimei); when I saw that the protagonist was Seimei's real-life master, I knew I had to read it.

It consists of several short stories, and the drawing style is nice and understandable. I wouldn't call it complex, though I think someone familiar with Japanese culture and folklore would enjoy it much more (it mentions many figures and Eastern deities, it's quite interesting). It’s a good read for passing the time.

Acabo de terminar de leer "Yumeyume: Onmyouji Kidan" (historias de Abe no Seimei); cuando vi que el protagonista de esta obra fue el maestro en la ... vida real de Seimei, supe que tenía que leerlo.

Son varias historias cortas, el estilo es bonito y entendible. No diría que es complejo, pero creo que alguien que sepa de cultura y folklore japonés disfrutaría mucho más de esta obra (mencionan muchísimos personajes de leyendas y dioses orientales, es interesante). Está bien para pasar el rato.

It’s a niche work (without a doubt), but I think it might appeal to fans of the historical fantasy genre. That said, it is VERY Japanese; Abe no Seimei is a major figure in Japanese folklore, so those of us on this side of the world likely won't grasp the full background behind it.

The style is unique and highly stylized, though I easily get lost on the page because of how messy it is. As for the story, it isn't deep, but it’s solid enough for a three-chapter work.

Es una obra de nicho (sin duda), pero creo que le podría gustar a aquellos que disfrutan ... del género de fantasía historica, Eso sí: es MUY japonés, Abe no Seimei realmente es una figura importante en el folklore japonés, así que los de este lado del mundo probablemente no entendamos todo el trasfondo que hay detrás.

El estilo es muy único y estilizado, pero me pierdo fácilmente entre páginas por lo caótico que es. En cuanto a la historia, no es profunda, pero está bien para tener 3 capítulos.

There's not much I can say about it, except that I'm a completionist, unfortunately.

My judgment isn't the best, because I wasn't a fan of the main series. However, I firmly believe that if you liked the characters in Adachi to Shimamura and their relationship dynamics, you'll enjoy the extras. Do they add anything truly new? I don't think so, but you have the opportunity to observe a little more of the interactions between the girls and their personalities. They're still just extras to please fans and attract new users, which is why ... you can get them legally for free (I think).

No hay mucho que pueda decir al respecto, salvo que soy una completadora de todo lo que veo, para mi infortunio.

Mi criterio no es el mejor, porque no fui fan de la serie principal. Sin embargo, creo firmemente que si a ti te gustaron los personajes de Adachi to Shimamura y sus dinámicas de relación, vas a disfrutar de los extras. ¿Agregan algo realmente nuevo? No lo creo, pero tienes la oportunidad de observar un poquito más de las interacciones entre las chicas y sus personalidades, no dejan de ser extras para complacer a los fans y atraer nuevos usuarios, por eso es que lo puedes conseguir por medios legales gratis (creo).

Revewing Things I Saw a Long Time Ago Before I Forget Them. Part 1

Oh my god, my first GL, well, if you can even call it that. The truth is, the fact that it's a Shoujo Ai is no excuse for it not taking me anywhere. After the first three chapters, the girls become the Sun x Moon stereotype (the cheerful one and the awkard, basically), and look, I wouldn't have a problem with that if they only had some real chemistry beyond "let me lie down in your lap." Because there's a difference between being a slow burn and not resolving your conflicts. In ... 12 chapters, nothing happened that could be said to have closed a character arc or anything like that. It could have worked better if they had added some shared conflict or event that makes you say, "This is the goal of this arc" (there are some, but I don't think they're relevant enough to improve their relationship).

Maybe I'm being unfair, but I really wanted to see it because the poster looked so good and to try out the genre a bit (better things are coming, as Simón Bolívar said, because the other phrase was in the Bible). PS: wtf with the pseudo-fanservice scenes? I almost saw your panties, girl, slow down.

Criticando Cosas Que Vi Hace Tiempo Antes de Olvidarlas pt.1

Ay, dios mío, mi primer GL, bueno, si se le puede llamar así. La realidad es que el hecho de que sea un Shoujo Ai no es excusa para no llevarme a ningún lado. Después de los primeros tres capítulos las niñas se convierten en el estereotipo del Sol x la Luna (la alegre y la penosa, ponle), y ojo, yo no tendría problemas con eso si tan solo tuvieran química real fuera de "déjame recostarme en tu regazo". Porque una cosa es ser un sloooooooow burn y otra muy diferente es no resolver tus conflictos, en 12 capítulos no ocurrió nada que se pueda decir que haya cerrado un arco de personaje o algo así, pudo haber funcionado mejor si hubieran agregado algún conflicto o evento en común que digas "esta es la meta de este arco" (si hay algunos, pero no creo que sean tan relevantes como para impulsar su relación).

Igual estoy siendo injusta, pero es que realmente quería verlo por lo lindo que se veía el póster y para probar un poco el género (llegarán cosas mejores, decía Simón Bolívar, porque la otra la decía la Biblia). PD: ¿wtf con las escenas pseudo-fanservice? Por poco se te ven las pantaletas, amiga.

I can't believe this human garbage has more than a five-star rating on MyAnimeList. Who the hell thought it was a sad and good idea to use this plot, which many children experience in real life, as an excuse to draw child pornography? It would be fine (or more or less) if they had just been high school kids when they met and had stayed in their adult forms at the end, but this crap is pedophilia in so many different ways that I'm amazed the person who created it isn't in jail. At least the art and the plot twist is decent.

I should mention ... that I don't see the friend who recommended this shit to me the same way anymore.
